Prof. Dr. Fatma Yurt is a Professor at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Ege University, İzmir, Türkiye, where she serves as Coordinator of the Nuclear Applications Program and has previously directed the Institute. She earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry and her Ph.D. in Nuclear Sciences, both from Ege University, and has become a leading academic and researcher in radiopharmacy, nuclear medicine, pharmaceutical technology, radiation shielding, photodynamic therapy, and imaging of infections and cancers. Her pioneering work bridges fundamental nuclear sciences with translational medical applications, with a particular focus on radiopharmaceuticals, radionuclide diagnostics, and innovative therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases.
